Okay, so I’m a year or more late on this one, and I’m not going to address every inanity on this video.  But Chris Crocker, salad comes from the French salade, from the Latin salata which means “salty.”  Salad in Latin is herba salata, which literally translates to “Salted Greens.” 

Salad is supposed to be salted.
